Home Cook Dinner # 9 ^_^

Pheeww!!..finally catching up with the time already..lol! Since yesterday already cooked "east meal", so today going to attempt with "west meal".. haha. Today's meal was pretty much easy, nothing much need to be cut..just a few things like sausages (didn't buy bacon), tomatoes, mushrooms and etc. So, the meal for today is Fettucini Carbonara, however, with own creation of carbonara sauce...lol.. It's my 1st attempt to cook such sauce, and I was pretty satisfied with the results... hehehe...

Now, just hopefully hubby won't be complaining or anything.....haha, though I know got to always welcome feedback, if not how can one improve, right? But I guess most of you agree, if the feedback comes from other people's mouth, we feel ok, but if comes from our the other half, we tend to turn deaf ears.. am I right? *grinning*

This is because we will feel that we have gone thru all the troubles and time to prepare a meal, but in return receive all the "complains"?? Mana boleh, right? hahaha...I think I can sense your smile over there... ^_^.

Apart saying all that, we too must try and learn to accept hubby's comment or feedback as well, so we can improve ourselves..as after all, they are the ones to be the 1st batch "white mouse" or rather "guinea pigs" to taste all of our 1st attempt of food preparation.Ahem...great satisfaction right after reading the phrase "white mouse" or "guinea pigs"?? Kakaka... *high five*...Btw, shhh.just between you and me, pls don't let your hubby know about those two phrases.

Alright, I guess enough of my blabbering..here's the picture to share...

Home Cook Dinner # 8 ^_^

Hang on...this is no backdated post...it was just yesterday.. ^_^ During the weekends, thinking that there's still some poultry left in the fridge, hence decided to cook on Monday. So, while doing some groceries shopping during the weekends, bought some vegetables as well to be included in the meal, after all we are always advised to have a balanced diet ma..agree? :)

I didn't really manage to prepare the cutting job the night before as by the time reached home, was pretty exhausted already. So after work yesterday, quickly "F1" home (don't be kan cheong..just expressing only, I where got such high technique of driving..:p)to prepare all the necessary cuttings and ingredients that need to be used. So after several hours of cut and chop, clink and clank, here's what has been whipped for yesterday's dinner.

Stir Fried Broccoli with Bunashimeji Mushrooms {Beech Mushroms}

Baked Beans with Eggs

Actually there's another dish, but I didn't take the picture cause the sauce was too dark.. (I guess too much of thick dark caramel sauce gua or was it because of the lightning ...:p ) anyway, it was Stir Fried Sesame Chicken with Ginger. Nonetheless, hubby finished everything "spick-and-span" :)

Home Cook Dinner # 7 ^_^

Helloooo.....everybody..I'm back after so long...hahaha.. 1st thing 1st, though it was already a week past of the new year, nonetheless, still want to wish all of my friends and readers (if I have any which I doubt so) a very Blessed New Year and may this year brings abundance of joy and success in your life.

Actually, why the return of me in action took so long is because..err..err.. was pretty busy...eeekkk...I know my lies won't be able to trick you..yea, you've guessed it correctly, was actually kinda lazy to think and write...lol! Yaya, I know lame excuses...:p

So this post is going to be real.....backdated post as this dinner was prepared in the year 2010, to be exact on Dec 27, 2010...haha. So just want to have a record, hence just simply bla something and have it posted...hehe, don't mind ya.

Home Cook Dinner # 6 ^_^

Though tired after a hard day at work, but the feel of having a home cook meal is stirring within me and so does my craving for steamed herbal chicken...lol! Hence, today came back from work, quickly take out the chicken to defrost it as time is running out, and have lots of cutting to do. Well, you see usually when I know I want to cook dinner tomorrow, I would usually do all preparation the day before, but for today it is really impromptu. So, can say time is not on my side today, what more when I have an "orchestra" starting inside my stomach.

So here's a quick and simple whipped up dinner with three dishes. The steamed herbal chicken surprisingly tasted quite good because I didn't taste it before it went for "steam bath"..hence quite shocking for me..But then one thing, after taking the picture, only I realize it needs more color. Hmmm..maybe next time I should garnish it with more colors...Nonetheless,it's still appetizing as hubby finished everything to the last drop of the "chicken essence"

Stir Fried Cabbage Carrot

Fried Onion Eggs

Home Cook Dinner # 5 ^_^

All of a sudden, the urge of cooking, baking and food presentation, came rushing out from within deep down in me and just feel wanna come out...but sometimes it still can't beat the "laziness" in me...lol! Hence, when I feel like cooking or anything, I just got to do it before the "heat" died away..haha...I guess my friends or hubby would have shaking their heads hard reading this... *ooopps*

Anyway, it wasn't really a good Monday for me (or should I say, who likes Monday hah?!). Today, can say that I kinda started my new job role "officially" like that though still a lot of guidance and advice needed. I was really overwhelmed with endless emails..requests...which kept on coming into my mailbox like nobody business...*pheww* And then doubts started to weave into my mind, thinking of whether did I make the wrong move in changing? Is this really the direction where God wants me to go? I mean I did asked for His guidance..signs...before I took any step into this new "adventure", but I just don't know why today, I feel so restless, worried, doubtful about where am at now. I'm all still mambo jumbo juggling with all my tasks as well as the systems. Will I be able to go thru this season? God, I need You...need Your grace, strength and wisdom... *shrugg*

So, today came back with mood-less feelings and a hungry stomach, hence simply go to the kitchen and whipped this up for dinner:

Decision, decision, decision...

Today, marks 20102010, I actually didn’t realize it till when I start to work on my cases, then only I realize..lol! and today also marks the day I made my decision of accepting the new job role which was offered to me weeks back. (yea, I took weeks to consider and consider…as well as to seek His confirmation too) after all, where am at today, is also all provided and led by Him, The Almighty. So that’s why I really need to know if the door opens is really from Him lo, because if He opens the door, no one can shut it and vice versa and also it will always be the best choice for all of us.

Well, actually before this position was offered to me, long way back, I already have the thought in myself, and asking Him as well, of whether is there any other open position within company which I can change to, (errr..I think way months back liao, yea!! very long indeed, right?). Nothing happened, and suddenly one fine day, my team leader revealed and asked me about this open position, I was indeed really shocked. At the same time, I did feel happy, but also fear and uncertainty was all over me. Hence, I guess that explains why today only I can come to a final decision in accepting the offer as I was seeking confirmation from Him as well as to weigh the pros and cons of both job roles myself lo…(thru interviewing people by asking their views, me asking questions and etc)

So for this finale decision, actually I already told myself on last Mon, that whether by hook or by crook, whether yes or no, I also need to give the management the answer from my end. And to make that as a confirmation from Him, I actually asked for the arrangement that my Manager would come to me personally and asked for my decision of that position…. (lol! lol!) and shockingly, it happened today, and makes it even more memorable and happy for me is today has such a special date. ^_^ Nonetheless, though decision has been made, but I still don’t know how is it going to be, as for this job role, it’s going to be huge change from what am currently doing…the obvious difference is that I would be dealing more with people rather than machines (computers la)…*yikes with a big gulp* So I just hope for the best, and I believe with His guidance, wisdom and strength I will be able to pull through whatever obstacles.. Amen!!

As for yesterday, my morning didn’t really start off well lo. I was literally dragging myself up from bed and to the washroom, and when I opened the tap, *taa-daa* NO water!!! It really pissed me off and at the same time, I was kin-cheong too, as I didn't want to be late for work. Moreover, at that hour, it’s really not so appropriate to call and wake people for favor to go to their place lo. So ended up, I got to use the “miserable” filter water for my wash-ups and whole day, I was not really myself. I was very upset with the management that it happened so frequent, and yet they didn’t really take any rightful actions to solve the matter. Thank God that it wasn’t my “aunty visitation period”, if not, I think I would go bald (cause I will start pulling my hair out of frustration) alr.. (yea, I know a little dramatic here..) but seriously, I was freaking mad. Hence, today, I will go over to the management office to file complaint on such incident as they are open till late at night on every Weds and I really do hope, that they will take the necessary actions to prevent such incident to repeat again. Blessed One Year Anniversary in Our Marriage Vows !! ^.^

Well, indeed time really flies so fast. In the blink of an eye, it's already one year that my hubby and I took our marriage vows together. Today, it reli brings back all the sweet memories to us. I can still remember how he proposed to me which actually was way out of my expectation that he would do that...the surprising part was actually he knelt down somemore, (yaya, can see that jaw dropped over there)...but am not to boast things here, I just want to share that though it was out of my expectations, still that time it really touched my heart and it was the sweetest thing he did for me.

So, actually before the proposed, we've been together for like, 9 years, and people would never thought that both of us will be together and get married, as a lot of people says 1st love relationship will often leads to no happy ending, which I guess you too agree with me, right? (ya, I think you may have known by now after reading this, you're right, we both are actually 1st love to each other) But then, I believe for some reasons, that 1st love relationship will too lead to happy ending, which I guess there are a lot of people out there had experienced this as well, so don't believe in what people says or what the myth has to say, just believe in yourself, that you too can create a happy ending to your love life, even though it's 1st love relationship. *wink wink*

Well, nonetheless, for both people to come together, it's not an easy journey. We too have our ups and downs, gone through hurdles after hurdles, before we decided to take our vows together. Even till today, the hurdles of life will still be continuing, but what matters the most is how do we respond only. Agree? Both people live under one roof is not easy, it will be colored by the differentiation of thoughts, views, opinions and etc because both people are brought up differently and come from different background. But I believe, despite all the differentiations, if we love, respect, trust and understands each other, we can build a happy marriage together. ^_^

So, just to remind you a verse again from 1 Corinthians 13:1-13:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

And, here's a toast to our one year anniversary in our marriage vows!! :)
